My work for Lars Jurcka Fashion inspired me to record my EP An Ice Cold Cone at Sunset, which I described as smooth-elevator-psychedelic-synthpop. While exploring the Spotify Canvas functionality I decided to also make short clips for each song, in a very limited timeframe. These clips are made with small, felted puppets while the background is digitally animated.
With this record I looked forward to a summer post-covid, and projected nostalgia infused memories of summers past onto the future. This nostalgia became the main theme for the EP, running through the music and the animation.
